Real Estate Inspections in Central Pennsylvania

We understand the buying and selling of a home can be very stressful. We go out of our way to provide prompt and courteous service. Our inspectors are P.S.M.A. (Pennsylvania Septic Management Association) certified and are constantly going to training sessions for further understanding of septic systems, new system designs, and solutions to potential problems.

We clean all the septic tanks and our inspector checks the tanks for any malfunctions when a real estate inspection is done. We check the drain line between the home and main tank for blockages. The baffles for the inlet and outlet lines are inspected to be sure they are functioning properly. We then proceed to check the tank for any cracks or leaks, which would allow the waste to escape in a way that would not be environmentally friendly. We then proceed to the drainfield. A series of probes is done to check the drainage, and measurements are taken to be certain that the drainfield is in a satisfactory condition. These on site inspections take approximately 1-3 hours, depending on the size and condition of the septic tanks and drainfield.The inspector then returns to the office and writes up the necessary paperwork on the computer. When finished, we send the inspection report to the designated party (realtor, attorney, homeowner, etc).
